The Italian jeweler Duville di Angelo was enchanted by Arab and Islamic culture, which inspired her to study the history, heritage, and local culture of the Emirates. This passion turned into unique designs of jewelry that blend Emirati traditions with contemporary European art. Her artistic works are adorned with brilliant stones, gold, and amber.
The designer is inspired by Arab and Islamic cultures in her work, considering that her brand, named after her, originated in Monaco, but she honed her uniqueness in the Middle East, particularly in the Emirates, creating a unique vision that combines modernity with the rich history of the region, which continues over the span of thousands of years.
"Every design carries meaning," says Duville di Angelo in the newspaper "Emirates Today." Her goal is to convey this heritage and its value to the next generation while preserving it. She asserts that each of her creations speaks of a part of history or cultural heritage and possesses its own significance.
Over the years, Duville has explored and studied the history and culture of the Emirates since before the oil boom, long before presenting her own brand, aiming to immerse herself in this culture and study its details. She insists that this process requires endless time, turning to the love of reading and friendship with books that have helped her in her studies.
She admits that despite the complexity of studying local culture, she believes that if a person focuses on their goals and strives for them, they will surely achieve them, and that she considers herself someone who never stops or gives up.
